One to One Coaching

In any sport or habitual lifestyle, muscle imbalances and joint restrictions can lead to pain and injury. Begin with a personalized biomechanical assessment to discover your body’s unique needs for mobilisation, stretching, and strengthening to enhance movement and alleviate discomfort. Whether you’re an athlete or spend most of your day seated, learn efficient movement patterns to prevent injury and enjoy greater freedom of movement. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged.

Michelle is an accredited exercise physiologist and level 2 strength and conditioning coach. Exercise physiologists specialize in exercise and behavior change for preventing and managing various conditions. Health rebates are available. As a strength and conditioning coach, Michelle designs programs to enhance athletic performance, reduce injuries, and instill lifelong fitness and movement skills. Her specialties include surfing, dancing, rock climbing, swimming, and hiking.

Assessment

Your coaching journey starts with a comprehensive assessment covering habitual movement, range of motion, functional movement, and strength evaluation. These findings are integrated with your individual goals, medical background, and lifestyle considerations to tailor your training program. Both online and in-person options are available.

Coaching

Stability: Re-establish joint stability and cultivate a foundation of balanced strength, aiming to enhance power and speed for both athletic pursuits and everyday activities.

Mobility: Discover effective techniques to release and lengthen restricted soft tissues—muscles, fascia, and other connective tissues—to facilitate smoother movement and execute full-range motion patterns without discomfort.

Strength: Receive technical guidance on traditional, non-traditional, and complex lifts. Master proper deadlifting, squatting, bench pressing, pulling, pushing, bending, climbing, core activation, glute engagement, power generation, and safe movement within a complete range of motion. Additionally, learn complementary and assistance exercises to bolster key lifts like the deadlift or squat.

Sports Performance Coaching: Acquire strategies to optimize your body’s efficiency and power for peak performance in your chosen sport. Michelle specializes in working with surfers and dancers, imparting efficient movement patterns to prevent injuries and enhance performance through a combination of muscle/fascia stretching, joint mobilization, stability, strength endurance, power training, and energy system conditioning.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching: Receive personalized guidance to expedite your progress. Recognize and address individual factors that may hinder your goals, whether it’s strength development, muscle growth, fat loss, overcoming health issues, or boosting energy levels.
